Gerald Trimble's music is a fusion of Early Music minstrelsy with folk music from the intersection of East and West in the Caucusus and Turkey. Gerald needed marketing materials that would explain his mission succinctly, both visually and in text -- and be re-usable in many different formats and contexts.

I felt that the carved Buddha head on Gerald's prized viola da gamba was the best symbol of both his music and his values. I took the photograph with a Canon ELF camera and then altered the image somewhat in Photoshop. I interviewed Gerald at length and wrote the text, which you can read in full by clicking here.

Gerald uses these parts (and a few not represented) for marketing brochures, press releases, posters, advertisements and concert programs.
